Default 1993 Aces Greg Maddux Auto-Legit?

So I picked up this 1993 Aces Greg Maddux card autographed at a flea market. Is this legit? Looks it to me, but I could use some opinions. Thanks

very possible.

I didn't see maddux in the list of "stated" signerns, but you're the second person I've heard getting one of these. Read through my tread in the BASEBALL BOX BREAKS section -- it's the one w/ almost 18K page views. It should explain everything re: this.

Also, how much did you pay for it, and can I get some better scans of front/back? I might be willing to help you with the diligence here.

Thanks for your help! Added a few more scans. Only paid $10 for it cuz the guy was going out of business. He wasn't sure it was legit or not because he bought alot of cards from the same guy at a card show somewhere.

easy way to tell is if it has the glossy finish on the front, IIRC they did NOT put gloss on the auto cards so that the auto would last.

If you look at this page in this thread:

Once in a lifetime find?

You'll see that Maddux was listed as a signer on the display. So, like the previous poster said, look at the glossy finish. My guess is that yours is probably legit, given that the odds of someone faking that card would be pretty low. Why fake that one, when you could fake a mainstream issue and not raise as many concerns with it. That's my opinion at least.

Thanks! There is no glossy finish, so I'm 90% positive it's the real deal. I want to send It to PSA or Beckett but I've never sent in any cards before.

Give me another day or two on this. So far it looks good. I'm trying to verify maddux. If this is the case, we've got the set off the forum. Which is absurd, if you think about it!

Getting this authenticated at a show this weekend. PSA/DNA or Beckett?

Btw, looks very similar to this one on eBay:

Nothing better than taking a gamble and having it pay off. Very nice!
