Johnson led the Majors in ERA last season at 2.30, and led the Majors in ERA with a 1.64 this season before his injury. I know he plays in a fairly spacious ballpark, but he also has to face the Phillies line-up several times per year which Hallday does not. Johnson is right at a K per inning also. Over the last month or two, Verlander and Lee are probably 1-2 in the race, But over the last two years it's hard to argue with a healthy Johnson as the best in baseball.
