I have received the Topps 60th Anniversary Ring!

I just got it back from Topps on Monday. I got super lucky getting the Mantle virtual ring, finished the 60 rings, requested delivery and it came pretty fast...

I've been trying to gauge interest in it from collector's....I 'd welcome your opinions...

The stones are cz , but it's a very impressive looking ring. They only have it in size 11, which is what I wear...I've only worn it for the pics...it's a huge , heavy ring...

Pssh why call it diamond anniversary then because if it's so limited they should have made them diamonds. Sucks but such nice item, just sell it if they aren't real

I agree. If its all about diamonds, they should make the ring a tough prize with the winner getting a ring of REAL Diamonds....I'm not a diamond lover but everyone knows cz's are not the same.

I don't think it's really meant to be worn.

Look great in a display case with Topps cards though.

I gotta get one of those ring display holders like they use in jewelry stores for it

Why call card memorabilia "relics" when they have no known relation to the players on the cards?

The same reason they make cards with "relics" that give the look and feel of game-used memorabilia. That's no different than fake game-used memorabilia if you ask me. I have no idea why people want them either. CZs = "relics" in cards.

Sadly you make a good point. If they can use a piece of a stick they find near the old Polo grounds and say its a Jackie Robinson 'relic' then I guess why not use fake diamonds.

Many of you might not believe the following, but it's 100% the truth...

...I don't want to hate on these companies. I really don't. I want them to go back to doing business using good ethics, honor and integrity. Every customer deserves that. I can't stand watching so many people just accept what they're given when they're paying good, hard-earned money for it.

I want to see upper deck et al turn things around and make this hobby a much better place. I too would like more choices, and right now, Topps, ud and Panini aren't in the equation.

your right cz's aren;t the same, they're actually better. Not as valuable but better. They are created from the same original product as real diamonds, but in a lab, so they use enough pressure and heat to make them flawless.

That's whack. Swear if I received that I would sue topps for misrepresentation. How in the hell could you put cubic zirconia in that. I love the ring, and hate the company.

That is a travesty for real. At least put some small real diamonds in it.
