Dollar Tree 5 Card Topps Packs?

I have a friend that works at a Dollar Tree in town, and he alerted me that they had baseball cards there, so of course I had to go take a look.

I didn't have high hopes, but when I got there I was surprised to see a ton of Topps Series 1 and 2 in gravity feeders. The catch - there were only 5 cards in each pack, and the backs had no odds listed for anything, just the message about Topps not making any claim about their card's value.

I'm only lacking a few base from Series 2 so I didn't take the risk on buying what might ONLY be base. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about these packs though. I tried looking at baseballcardpedia and google while at the store with no luck. I know I could have just paid a couple of dollars for a few, but I'd rather spend that on something for my PC off of ebay if I don't know what I'm getting into :P

You would have hit nothing but base. Maybe a couple inserts. Good decision to keep your money. I seen there were no odds listed but bought anyway. Just 10 packs but got nothing

I went in Dollar Tree today and saw 5 card packs of Panini Prestige. I bought a pack, and got a Patrick Peterson rookie, so I was happy with that. I'll just end on a high note.
