Default 2011 BDPP Now a Pre Sell Item

What do you guys think? Price doesn't seem too bad to go ahead and lock a couple of cases in..

Doubtful. Every year it is the exact opposite.

Wasn't 2010 going for in the $600's before it spiked up?

Yep, but it had probably one of the strongest checklists seen in quite a while. This year seems ok right now, but no where near the strength of last years draftees. That's what I see right now.

With topps changing checklists and surprises though, I wouldn't be surprised if they throw some curve balls in to shake the product up.

The 2011 draft class blows the 2010 draft class out of the water. Until the checklist is finalized, it is impossible to say whether 2010 or 2011 is the better product.

There will be more. Topps just can't include them on the sell sheet since they haven't signed yet, either with them or with their teams.

Wrong. Last year I picked up cases for $600 each about three weeks after release. Ditto for every year from 2006-2009; even 2008 dropped a little before going back up.

I guess we can disagree about the draft class, but I do agree that until the final checklist comes out we won't know for sure just which product will be better.

-I was hoping it'd be closer to what i got BDPP for last year at around $660. I bought that in mid-December from here, just gonna wait and hope it gets closer to my comfort zone before locking in.

The 2011 draft class is widely regarded as the best draft class since 2005. I don't know much about the case prices going up or down after release but I do know that the 2010 Checklist was definitely strong and has produced a ton of value for that product. Until the 2011 Checklist is released I don't think you can say one way or another that the product is strong or not. Certainly the ultimate gamblers product with little/no info on the auto checklist.

I hope the draft class is just like you say here, because im saving for a case of it. Until I see a full or nearly full checklist though I will be saving.

same with me. I prebought one for about 690, but then was able to buy a few cases for $600 after release.

No money in wax anymore for people with no patience. Those 600.00 cases sell for 950 now. I got a case for 600.00 and still have all my autos, and 2.5 master sets. If I sold all on Ebay right now I'd be up a little. A little patience and perseverance goes a long way sometimes.

True, if you held last years you did well.

But what I meant is direct cost is just under $600 and seems everyone was buying at $600. To me this makes little sense.

I bought in at $650 last year about a month or two after release. I thought that was a good price. Does anyone remember what the presell prices were for 2010? $724 seems high.
