Ok so I found out that in fact this is only a hot theory, and not actually a fact. I have actually heard of others who have pulled these cards from other areas including where I live here in California. While I don't have proof of it neither does he. It can be debated for some time to come.

Absolutely fascinating read! I was amazed about how much I learned about the card and potential theories about how it was created. I remember the number of cards numbering less than 500 though so that would make them very scarce by 1990 standards.

Now I really want one. Great link and thanks.

Apparently there may be other chase cards as well.

I would want an autographed card from his resurgence year in Oakland ('06). "They" said he was washed up and Oakland got him for pennies. Frank showed us all that he wasn't quite done... I was really happy for him that year. I know you are a Sox fan, but as for Thomas... that is the one I would want (not exactly a Holy Grail, I know.)

As for rare, how about the Thomas autograph from this year's UD Leg. Cuts... the one that was supposed to be the Met's Thomas. (I think I remember this right... it was in the baseball breaks section.)

This is awesome. I wonder how many of those other error cards have been thrown away over the years cause they were damaged.

Yeah I liked that card a lot until UD messed it up with the wrong auto. I mean it couldn't have been more obvious it was the wrong guy.

I don't trust them to do the right thing either and actually get Thomas sig on that card. They may do a replacement, & how do you replace a card like that? In any case it would have been a sweet card to have.
