Default MLB 2nd half Bold Prediction thread

No weak sauce in here, man up and make the call.
Predict an unexpected trade?
Got a darkhorse for a division winner?
Unexpected award winners, record breakers, or league leaders?

To get things started.....

.... The Tampa Bay Rays make the playoffs (either the Yanks or Sox do not)

and Matt Kemp gets 40/40

Carlos Santana is going to be a monster the whole second half. The Indians are going to win it all....against the Phillies...with Cliff Lee pitching.

now that is a monster prediction, even as a Phillies fan I have to tip my cap to that.....

.... and I'm rooting for the Pirates to make the playoffs too, so the Phillies can rest their starters in the NLDS

Beltran traded to the Red Sox.

Pirates win NL Central.

Red Sox win the AL East by 8 + games.

Phillies lose in the divisional series.

Bautista hits less than 50 hrs.

Maybe this isn't such a "bold" prediction. But I predict Eric Wedge will keep that ridiculous marmot glued on his face for the remainder of the season.

Rays & Red Sox take the 2 spots for the AL East in the playoffs, and the Yankees miss the Playoffs.

Phillies trade for Hunter Pence sending Domonic Brown, Joe Blanton (Salary Relief), and Jarred Cosart to Houston in a sign and trade.

Pence gets $12 mil per for 4 or 5 years.

Oh, and the Phillies win the World Series.

Off season, Phillies resign Raul Ibanez for $3mil/1 yr, and he platoons with Mayberry Jr in LF. Phillies won't sign Gload again and Raul fills in for Howard on Howard's off days in 2012.

Santana is Jose Bautista 3 years ago. Get him the right hitting coach and he's a 40-50 HR guy.

The next series is HUGE for your prediction. If the Indians can take 3 or 4 from the Twins, I will make the bold prediction that the Twins are done after that.

dear lord I would hate this... not the getting Pence part, but that is a potentially hefty price. I think Pence could be had for less if the Astros do put him on the block, if they don't want to give him up and are looking for an offer they cant refuse, I'd rather just keep Dom and Cosart (I know you hate Dom)... also I have no interest in spending 1 dollar on keeping another marginal lefty bat in the middle of the lineup, Raul needs to take a hike.
