Default Mail Day and I pulled a good one...what do I do??!!

Hey all..

I just got both my 2011 Bowman Jumbos in the mail...

So I'm halfway through the first box and I pull these two:

Pictures by soxfanintx - Photobucket

By the way..hope I did the link correctly..kinda new at this..

So the Gyorko is numbered 01/25! I think its called an Orange or Gold refractor? The regular Gyorko auto books for $25 and the Britton for $15 in Beckett.

I know the Britton isn't a big deal really, but WTF do I do with the Gyorko? I mean, what's my first step? I want to list it on ebay so do I get it graded? If so, by which company? Do I just immediately list it? Pure auction or BIN? How much can I realistically expect to get?

Any help would be appreciated...just got back into collecting and new to selling on ebay. I'm at a loss as I've never pulled anything that could be considered this rare...if only it had been a Harper...*sigh*...lol

Thanks guys!

go with BGS if you want to grade it. Here is one that graded 9.5 w/ 10 auto

BGS 9.5 Jedd Gyorko Bowman Chrome ORANGE REF AUTO RC | eBay

heres a completed britton:

Nice Pull! Gyorko looks like a stud, and is killing it in the minors. If it looks sharp it might be worth it to get it graded (By BGS IMO)

It is an orange REF. A sick pull! BGS 9.5 Jedd Gyorko Bowman Chrome ORANGE REF AUTO RC | eBay

That is a Gem int so yours wont get that much raw, but still an awesom pull.

EDIT: Fitch posted the link at the same time as me lol.

Congratulations! If everything checks out (centering, corners, edges, surface) send it to BGS with a minimum grade of 9.5.

-IN before the $10 offer posts. Check eBay for Gold REf AUto and you'll find a few listed around the $240 range, most completed auctions for the Gold around $150.

Since this auto is rarer than the Gold numbered to 50, don't take less than that.

A BGS 9.5, 10 auto graded Orange Ref Auto sold on eBay for $314 on July 17. As yours is not yet graded, that should give you an approximate range of value.

Good luck to you.

I wouldn't grade it, it's too far off centered top to bottom for a 9.5. Just pop it online as is, should get in the $225 range IMO.

Thanks for all the input guys...a huge help!

So regarding the grading, what if it is slightly off center...and it grades out at a 9? Would I still be better off just putting it up on ebay as is? I see what you are saying about centering, but it looks SO close! They must be tough SOB's...lol
