Does the auto on this Pujols look legit?

i traded for a puols patch auto with a member on another site and then he closed his account. thenn recently i got in this pujols from the guy. does it look like a legit autograph

Sorry to say but something definitely does not look right about that one with the "P" and the "S". Looks like you've been had and unfortunately a COA from some random sports card shop (I'm guessing that's what it was) doesn't really mean a whole lot.

if this is the same 4th & Goal the coa is from maybe you can pose the question to them through their facebook account. If it is the same 4th & goal they do seem to have a bunch of memorabilia for sale and it may be legit.

The way that COA reads is that I could be holding anything at all and that means it's certified.

Could have been from a legit ball at some point that's since been certified by a reputable company leaving this COA as a spare to use for something else

you can scan the coa and see if it is one of their COA's, it couldn't hurt to check if not then you can start questioning the integrity of the card. I am no expert but just like everyone is saying a few letters do look off.

looks pretty fake to me, it seems at the guy just copied the facsimilie auto on the front of the card..and most of pujols autos are different looking than that imo

OP, I wouldn't listen to most of the people in here. It could be real, it could be fake. These wannabe authenticators on this forum nearly nailed a guy to the wall in May for what they thought was a fake Bryce Harper auto until Topps had to issue a statement as to it's authenticity. People are brutal around here. There's no reason to believe it's fake until you can talk to the card shop, see when it was signed, and maybe even check out some exemplars from that particular signing.

Well, to be fair, I at least did a minimal amount of research before I posted. I searched for "Fourth and Goal", and "Fourth and Goal" Pujols, and "Fourth and Goal" authentication and found literally nothing. If an outfit is large enough to wrangle a Pujols signing, they should have a website, much like the Seattle memorabilia place that has an exclusive deal with Ichiro.

EDIT: What I mean is, I didn't just judge the signature. For all we know Pujols scrawled it out in a hurry, though I doubt he's been anywhere near this card.

This^^^^a google search turns up absolutely nothing about this "4th and goal". Furthermore that COA contains very little information. No serial number, no date of signing, no signature of employee, no matching hologram. At the very minimum it should have a date on it and a signature. The reality is that a COA that is from some random sports store that has little to no information is not worth a whole lot. While there is certainly a chance that it could be real; with what is presented it certainly doesn't seem that way.

It is more likely to be fake than real. That auto just doesn't look right, and that is a FACT. We aren't "wannabe authenticators" we say what our opinion is. The Harper auto DID look fishy, and nowhere on the back did the Harper say it was an authentic auto.
And there IS reason to think its fake because its a useless piece of paper with no serial number/etc. I can print that piece of paper out at home, COA's with no matching serial numbers or someone HIGHLY reputable are usually worthless and someone printed their own COA up.

I used to print my own COA's up in the late 90's early 00's when I was dealing strictly with in-person autos (back when they actually sold well), so I'm just saying it can go either way.

Every time a new thread gets posted here about an autograph, the first reply from everyone is FAKE. Maybe some more sound advice would be appropriate. What does PSA/JSA charge for a Pujols? Contact 4th and Goal or go to PSA. Problem solved. Instead, 9 out of 20 posts here are nothing but useless comments screaming FAKE. The poor guy might have gotten ripped off so let's push him in the right direction and not make the situation worse.
