2011 Bowman Case question..should I?

I have been offered a case of 2011 Bowman for about $80 less than BO price by my LCS.

It seemed like a no brainer at first, but then I thought that there must be a reason..like maybe this ship has left and there is very little chance of breaking it and making my money back on Ebay...

So...should I? Or shouldn't I?

The reason might be it's burning a hole in his inventory and tying up money he could be using somewhere else. He's probably just making you a good deal to get it off his shelf. Don't buy it with the intent of making money on Ebay. If you buy it buy it cause you want to open it. Maybe you get lucky. I bust prospect products with the intention of keeping good prospect autos and refractors until later. I'll usually just sell lots and sets of base and inserts for whatever I can get to put a little cash back in my pocket though.

Bowman is cooling off and the autos aren't selling well. With Bowman Platinum coming out less people are going to buying Bowman and spending everything on Platinum. The insert sets sell for nearly nothing, Bruce Harper singles aren't selling for nearly as much as they used to, the base sets go for cheap and the majority of the autographs go for $3-5. Remember you get one per box. And only 2 refractors. But go with it if you want

Always try to buy locally. Most of the time the LCS is a "Hobby Direct Dealer". I have always had better breaks buying from the LCS than from most online dealers.
