Default Best way to store cards?

Looking for some advice on the best way to safely store cards. I have a fairly large collection of close to 4,000 cards from the late '80s through present day.
I keep all my rookies (even the ones I've never heard of) in sleeves and penny top-loaders. I have one large and three small albums which contain most of my semi-common/ decent inserts. I have most of my autos, GU, and graded cards in either screwtops or sealed cases.
But what about the 3,000+ base cards of back-up outfielders and middle relief guys from the Devil Rays in 1999?!?!?

Why not just go with a monster box?

I have (ashamedly) used several shoeboxes, but most of the cards in them are newer and are still in their wrappers. I do have one large heavy-duty cardboard box about 20x20, with four or five rows in it. Holds quite a few cards, but I received it as a gift several years ago, and don't know where to find 2-3 more...Does that sound like this monster box you speak of?

yeah, that's the one I have, the smaller one. thanks for the input guys, and quick replies.
I don't need 25 of them though...

anyone have 2-5 of these laying around they don't mind parting with for around $10 (or anything reasonable)?

Totally didn't realize the link was for a 25 pack lol. If you have an LCS around they should have something like it you can just snag one of.

I haven't been in the area too long (always lived in NC, but have moved around through college and such)- what's the best way to find local shops? is there a website listing them or anything?

edit: googling did reveal one (yes, one) shop within 30 miles. sad day... any help locating more shops would be great. I'm not that far outside of Raleigh, NC if anyone knows of a good shop there)

There is a Hobby Shop Locator section if you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the main forum. I missed that one for like 2 months lol.

any of the ones listed here work for you:

Google

as for monster boxes, those work but unless I've got a ton from one set, I prefer 800ct boxes. I think I've got 10-12 3200ct boxes and probably 40+ 800 ct boxes (not counting complete sets)
