They will probably send him the canned letter explaining the damaged card policy.

Should put the cut up cards in one bag and dog #@#@#@#@ in another bag. Add a note asking "What's the difference between these two bags?"

this is a great idea........ but you know as well as i do, that most people don't have the patience to wait.

I paid $81 a box through distributor but like many I am not happy about the switch. A few cards I can understand but most of the good content? The intent here is quite obvious. Since people order and pay well ahead of time, why arent our orders subject to change upon final review of updated list? If their end changes, why should ours have the option?

thats right & mighty convenient for them NOT to disclose any updates to that checklist before release!

I agree with you. Even up to this point they haven't made mention of an updated list. I would love to see the explanation as to why they dropped so many of the big names, but more than likely that won't happen.

i sent topps an email asking how they justify dropping dozens of autos from the checklist & replacing with inferior players not to mention dropping all together several multi auto cards. if they get bombarded with complaints perhaps they'll do another wrapper redemption?

email: support@topps.com

You know what their response will be:

"Thanks, go buy another licensed baseball product then"

Last year Platinum tanked and once it hit rock bottom, that's when it became a money machine. If this stuff drops to $800 a case like 2010 did, I will be all over it. F*** the relics. Those prospect autos and the Harper auto chase will be well worth it at $400 (6 box case)...if it ever gets that low.

Unfortunately, it looks like Platinum was NOT overproduced this year, so my guess is we will see it dry up one way or another.

Seriously though, how could they replace 90% of the auto relics that were of some of the best players in baseball with some of the worst players in baseball?

It says in the disclaimer that they all agreed to be in the product, but may not be able to get their autos in on time. Well, Topps delayed the release one month, and for what?

And how could they just completely drop most of the triple auto/dual autos/book cards completely and not even bother to replace them with anything. Topps was already on a roll, the least they could have done was include a book card filled with crappy relief pitcher bat relics.

What a complete failure.
