This has been probably covered in the past, but I have 12 codes. From everyone's experience, what good would it do me to redeem these 12 codes? These would be my 1st 12 codes to be redeemed. What cards could I expect to get with my 1st 12? Just trying to decide if worth to start redeeming or to just sell the codes. I've read the info on the DiamondTopps website, but want to know realistically what I can expect.
Thanks for any input. Bill WHMCJR's Trading card site |

Old cards and the 2011 Diamond Die Cuts are desirable... I have heard of some people pulling mantles and such. Personally, out of 49 codes I entered, a Nolan Ryan Die-Cut was my best hit.If you sell you could prob get in the neighborhood of 2.50-3 per code.

After 5 you get 1 free card and 1 dig. If you get a prize on a dig like a wax pack you get free shipping for 24 cards. If you're only doing 12 cards it's a tough call.
In about 47 codes, I got a few DDC and a few 50s and 60s. All shipped for free. The "hits": Danny McDevitt 1959 1 Del Rice 1960 1 Billy Pierce 1963 1 (PC!) Eddie Fisher 1963 1 (PC!) Jim King 1965 1 Bob Hendley 1966 1 Jim Landis 1966 1 Dave Bristol 1967 1 Mike Cuellar 1967 1 2011 Hanley Ramirez 1 2011 Howie Kendrick 1 2011 Jose Tabata 1 2011 Brian McCann 1 Pack of Vintage Cards from the '70s and '80s 1 Topps 60th Anniversary Commemorative Set 1

Similar experiences as above...but I've entered over 100 codes...did get a Yaz die cut that is pretty sweet...and some older cards from the 50's and 60's but nothing of any great value.
The coolest thing was hitting the point (40 i think?) where you get a vintage card pack. I've heard of guys getting 80's packs, but I ended up with a really cool 1978 pack in great shape...didn't get squat out of it, but man did that take me back..felt like a kid again. But personally, nostalgia aside, if I had to do it again I would sell em...i have sold a few in small lots on ebay and I'm always shocked at how much people are willing to pay for em...good luck! |

There is no set ratio for what you'll get. DDC cards aren't that rare but I didn't get my first on until about 25 codes. Some people get them as their first card. It's random.
Digs have mostly common rings. I think I hit one pack of 70s-80s cards (got '88) in a dig, the rest has been rings. The only ring that matters is Mantle, the rest are commons.
