3 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 SO for Strasburg in Hagerstown tonight.

Took 60 pitches as his control was a bit off, especially in the first inning where he threw 27 pitches. He topped out at 96-98 MPH.

Man. If he can put up these numbers when his control is "off", I'd love to see him back at full strength.

I wonder if he and Harp will get along? Seems they both want to be the best that ever was, so I wonder if they'll burn each other out or just butt heads, etc...

Stras will dominate again. When his control returns, he will be every bit as good as he was before.

I think Stras is quite a bit more grounded than Harper, but he's five years older and went to college for three years so I guess that makes sense.

Harper's still a kid. Guess you can't blame him for being a bit wacko at times.

zacky i liked the old avatar better...

Stras looked good again...and as we know, velocity before control, and velocity is definitely there....13:3 k:bb ratio last couple starts certainly looks good

would def like to see what he can do against more polished AAA hitters, as he is striking out a ridonkulous 18+ batters per 9 in A ball...

Strasburg back on the mound tonight, this time in Triple-A (Syracuse). Final line:

5.0+ IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 7 SO

Threw 47 of 64 pitches for strikes.

Two consecutive singles to break up perfection in the 6th and they pull Strasburg. (65 was his projected pitch limit, taken out after 64).

Four days rest would have him pitching Thursday, and Double-A Harrisburg is the only affiliate with a home game that night.

It's all about capitalizing on the hype while he's down there so I guess I don't blame them for their thinking.

There is an outside chance he'll pitch on the road against Buffalo on Thursday, too (for Syracuse).
