Default Perfect Game (formerly AFLAC) All American Classic

Anyone else on the boards going to this tomorrow in San Diego? Should be a good time... I will be there and update my autograph haul and a few pictures from the event on Monday.

If you are going shoot me a PM and maybe we can meet up and get some autos together.

Last year you got two cards per ticket... I bought 50 tickets for tomorrow's game... if I have any duplicate cards I will contact you.... if I do, would you prefer just the card or do you want the players auto on it?

Thanks

Can't wait for tomorrow's game. Where'd you buy tickets from? I didn't see any info on the perfect game website for tickets and will probably just buy them at the game anyway.

I would prefer the autos, but I understand some you might not be able to get.

Everyone, be aware that Topps has made a MAJOR snafu with these cards.

At first I was happy to see they had created the "Topps Certified Autograph Issue" lettering at the bottom of the autographed cards.

Tonight, I noticed the un-autographed cards had hit eBay.

Guess what - they have this lettering on them as well.

E-P-I-C-F-A-I-L.

This just invites people to counterfeit these kids' signatures. At least until 2012 Bowman Draft Picks, when Topps will (hopefully) apply machine numbering on the fronts.

Buyers, beware.

Does this mean, unless you pull one in 2011 BDPP, there is no way to know if it is legit? This would also completely destroy the after market, even on the legit ones. This is beyond an epic fail. Does anybody have the set list on these?

Set list can be found here: Signing game remains same despite name change for Perfect Game All-American Classic |

I went to the game and have the cards... on the back it also reads:

"The signing of all topps autograph cards is witnessed by a topps representative to guarantee authenticity. Topps pledges to bring you closer to the game and its leading players from the past, present and future."

Nice looking cards. It is a shame I will not be buying any of the autos on in the aftermarket. Nice screwup Topps.

We can only hope they number the pack-inserted ones.

The only autographed ones you can trust with will be slabbed PSA/DNA and JSA ones
