ebay help, please counsel me

I have been using a 5000+ seller for topps presales and had great service until recently...I had a bowman platinum and topps jumbo presale that was to be shipped upon release, but havent received it yet...the email response was they were at the national with only 1 person left behind to do all the work... still no response yet.... yesterday I get a unpaid case opening on products that I paid for (sent by combined shipping) but still havent had a human email response... called customer service and they said to work it out with the seller, who wont respond to my emails... the rep at ebay said they would send me the sellers phone number, but that hasnt happened yet... they have recent feedback, so i know something was shipped recently, just not to me... what should i do, as i have the above, plat fb, lineage, and marquee boxes on presale as well

I think I'd go ahead and file the claim,as stated above.
From the sounds of it you might not get those pre-sales anyway.

yeah, I'd definitely file the claim. it might be just enough of a wake up to the seller to get on top of it, or it'll be the last straw and you'll get your refund. Don't take the chance of losing it all waiting.

ok thanks team. If i cant contact the seller by phone I will take action.... one other thing to note... it now says at the top the seller is away until 8/22

What day did you send payment? You have 45 days through paypal and I'm not sure of how many through eBay. Credit cards I believe get 90 days.

You are gambling with thousands of dollars. If the seller is a standup guy he will understand why you took the action to protect yourself. If not, move on to a more reputable source.

I'm in the same boat, with the same seller (I'm assuming, based on OP's description). I pre-ordered two boxes of 2011 Bowman Platinum that I ordered in June.

I tried to contact him several times, with no response. I got an email on Thursday stating that, after the National, the guys' mother had a medical situation. He said that my boxes were going out in Friday's mail, and I should get them tomorrow or Tuesday.

I choose to believe this is true. I'm just glad I only ordered the boxes for my own collection, and not to flip.

Like you said I'd try calling the phone number ebay gave you and see where that leads you. If you get nowhere with that id file the claim through ebay and paypal immediately. This is only going to help you as it will be a wakeup call to the seller and he'll get you your cases, or it will cover your ass and get your money back. Good luck!

Since I'm pretty sure TylerJenna isn't a member of the boards, I don't mind saying that he is the seller about whom you are referring. I think it's likely that he ignored his pre-sells and went to the National and is now paying the price. He already has a recent neutral feedback, i'd expect to see more of those and negatives as well. File the claim.

i think this will turn around... the prices i get are great like 140 for marquee and 56 for a topps jumbo box.... i just wish for an email back... i will just file the claims

Did bowman platinum release before the national? If that is the case then the whole excuse for being behind on shipping due to the nationals is a mute point. There was plenty of time to ship before and after.

Ask him which hospital and address, you'd like to send a sympathy card. Ask for her name. You can follow up on it if you wish to see if he's full of S or not. This "My x is in an accident/hospital" crap has got to stop.
