BTW, leave it to Topps to already be working on 2012 when they have a number of 2011 products left to be released.

Set for release in 2015, but it will probably get pushed back in late 2014 to sometime in 2016.

...and are getting pushed backs a month.

Those guys just need to get their siht together. I wanted to have Marquee on my door step next week.

I work in engineering and deadlines are everything. If we missed deadlines like Topps, my whole team would get frickin fired.

And if the douche bags extend the print run and water it down, they are getting a really nasty e-mail from me.

you dont think they have multiple teams working on different things?

Everything has stages of development and in order to keep product flowing off the production line, they need things in various states of development.

The people who design the look of the card surely are not the ones who insert the pictures into the template or the ones who pic the pictures and none of those groups are the ones who proof everything once it's 'done' before it hits the press...if they time everything right, the next product is ready for production just as the last product gets done.

Nope this is only how smart companies work, Topps obviously does not do anything the way the rest of the world does it.

Or, topps is the smart one making the big bucks and we're all the idiots, but who wants to believe that?

I don't think i'm a fan of the skinny border. But I can't remember ever loving a regular topps base card, so my expectations are not too high anyway.

The card feels like the cheap Fleer 2006 product you can find at any $1 bin at Target.

I guess i failed that IQ test. Now that I see it full size it looks more like a basic topps card. Of course, still nothing special.

I was hoping that 2012 would bring a design reminiscent of the 1962 and 1987 wood designs. Those have always been favorites of mine.

If the 1987s were a 25-year tribute to the 1962s, then the 2012s would have been a 50-year tribute. But I guess that might be too soon after the '62 Heritage release of this year.

That's exactly what I just said. I know the 61st of anything isn't exciting but does that mean it should be boring? It looks like some middle school class project that even the most lenient teach would only give a C.

I saw a card that actually said "USED MEMORABILIA". Does that mean they'll stop calling manufactured items HITS. I feel like that was borderline fraud.

24 ct hobby boxes?!?!?! What the hell?!?!

If thats true they better be making hobby cases about $150 cheaper if there are still just 12 boxes a case.
