Something seems fishy. If your Mantles were not in plain sight, and someone was home, I would imagine that the thief or thieves must have been familiar with your house. A lot of robberies are commited by people who know or know someone who knows the victim.

Typing on phones is hard. Not many people know I collect but we're racking our brains trying to recall all the workers that have been in the house, any clues as well as how to make sure it doesn't happen again. Anything is possible here, I suppose.

As for anything unique, other than a bunch of raw cards (and a couple I'm trying to retrieve Psa info on about the only thing that's uncommon would be a couple of high school yearbooks. My grandfadther grew up in commerce.

I have folks checking pawn flea markets Craigslist etc, thanks for the kind words and be smarter about safety than I was.

One last bit. I didn't post here for folks to feel sorry or the desire for the community to donate anything. I really just want y'all to make your homes and families safe and keep in mind this can happen anywhere.

Take a video or several pictures of the cards, and make sure you can tell the pictures are being taken in your house. Otherwise, your insurance company does not like you.

Does scanning your cards work the same as taking actual pictures with the insurance company? I know some cameras suck at taking good pictures of cards, but you mentioned that the insurance company would like some proof that it's your house.
