Glad we dumped him, his foul mouth, and his contract!

They eat enough contract money anyway, why torture the fans.

If I were Cashman, I'd trade Burnett for $5 and one of those dumbass Phitens he wears.

You said it Dchrome, couldn't be happier to see burnett showing the league what he's all about. The only time you get production from him is when he's going into free agency the following year.

Banish him to Cleveland. Belcher can turn him around and jump-start his career. Plus, the Yanks could get 4 prospects for him, including a couple studs, like Kipnis and Chisenhall. Get on the phone to Cashman!!!!!

I know man im starting to get sick of him, and hughes has been shakey as well. The yanks are going to have a problem come the playoffs when there bats are hot but the only pitcher they can rely on for a solid outing is CC, you know what you are getting now out of burnett and hughes, and nova colon and garcia are 50/50....regardless the yankees first messed up when they didnt land cliff lee this off season and just went into a hole and figured colon and garcia would suffice

Look at his career stats, Burnett must dread seeing the calendar turn to August.

When he was a FA, everybody knew he was over-rated except the Yankees. Gammons couldn't say it enough. Yankees deserve it

Joe Posnanski tweeted last night to remind everyone that he has $37.5 mil left on his current contract, HAHA.
I was at the game last night, it was fun to see all the scoring

A little revisionist history there. Fairly certain the sox were after him as well.

Forgive me OP. This truly is not intended to slam your spelling.
As i quickly scrolled down past all the topics
I thought I saw something about

AJ Burnett on a Sybian.

which, understandably, weirded me out a little.

Yanks knew what they were getting themselves into signing Burnett but overpaid because they were in dire need for starting pitching. So it's not like Cashman was oblivious of what Burnett was.

Could say the same thing about the John Lackey signing.
