Default Verlander - 20 wins

Jack Morris can't give him a hard time about it now.

Amen.

Buster Olney on Twitter a few days ago said if the season ended today Verlander would have his vote for not only cy young but MVP as well.

He's got the CY in the bag. It's also the MVP he has a chance to make a run at.

He had a so-so game today, but I'm not complaining. I'm just so used to seeing him up by 3-4 runs and thinking it is over because he usually shuts them down. I'm glad the offense stepped up and got him some runs so he could get the win.

Wish I had waited on selling this...I regret selling such a cool card; these books are really nice.

I wish you would have sold that card to me! How much did it sell for, if you don't mind me asking?

I had sold it with a few other cards (including that dual) and I can't remember what I figured for a value on it. I had it listed on Ebay and it looks like my highest offer had been $525 so it was probably around that.

I really liked the card but I figured if I wanted one I'd pick up a player I had more interest in. Plus, the right patch had a gap down the left side which bugged me a little, lol.

Never regret selling, Verlander could have just as easily needed Tommy John surgery and then your money would have been down the toilet.

Yeah, no kidding...you never know. I'm hoping if the Cubs do get the AS game like they are saying Topps does these cards again. Hopefully the patches will be that cool...if I were from St. Louis I would've kept the card regardless of my interest in the player.

That was the only Triple Threads card I ever pulled that looked as crazy as the stuff they put on the sell sheet, lol.
