The Rays are surging at the right time, after C.C. the Yankee starting pitching is a mess and the injuries and off years of the Yankee bats may be catching up to them.

6 games is not a lot to make up, especially with 7 games left head to head.

If not for AJ Burnett they'd have a solid lead in the East right now.

Yankees should be fine and now the lead is 6.5 ...We are not the Mets! We may not have the pitching but our offense will be enough for us to get into the playoffs. What we do in the playoffs I don't know.

A-Rod won't be back 100% this and its not wishful thinking. I'll make buckets of money if the Phillies meet the Yankees. T-shirt sales were sick in 2008, imagine what we will do this year. Even in this pi$$ poor economy, $50,000 in the NLCS and World Series will be easy.

I don't think so. I mean look at what they were up against when the season started. Everyone said this and that and look where they ended up this far into the season. I disagree. The Yankees have question marks just as any other team does but they'll be in the thick of it once again...

Plus the player rosters expand to 40 this coming week

Sadly the Rays offense is just not good enough right now. The pitching is lights out,but the offense is just too weak. As a Rays fan I hope it can turn around but highly unlikely.

eesh, didn't realize how rough the rest of the rays schedule is. baltimore twice and toronto once doesn't suck too bad. but Rangers twice, Red Sox twice, and Yankees twice?

if they do make it i think my prediction from before the season will have to be correct, that the rays will have the best record in the 2nd half and make the playoffs.
