Brett Jackson joins the 20-20 Club on the last day of the season

Jackson hit his 10th Home Run with the Iowa Cubs on the final day of the season to go with his 10 he hit in AA. He ended the season with 20 HR's and 21 Stolen Bases. His numbers were better in AAA than AA also as he hit .297 with a .939 OPS in AAA as opposed to a .256-.816 line in AA. I read that the Cubs probably won't give him a September Call Up because they say their Outfield is full and they can't give him full playing time (which is why the Cubs are the worst franchise in all of sports). Really? Tyler Colvin and Reed Johnson really need that playing time? I know the Cubs are stuck with terrible contracts on Soriano and Marlon Byrd at about $30 Million per season for the two, but why not get Jackson ready for the 2012 MLB Season with a little September experience?

On a side note, I sold a BGS 9.5 Jackson Gold Refractor AUTO for $305 at the beginning of the season and recently rebought one for $183. Now let's see if I can resell at around $300 next Spring.

Yeah, Jackson is for real. Looks like the Cubs are finally catching a break

Is Iowa in the playoffs? Maybe they were waiting for their season to end

His numbers were a little dissapointing at Double-A after such a hot start, but he's fared much better at Iowa.

I'm guessing we don't see him until the Spring though.

Meh, This is the Cubs we're talking about. If he's good, they'll trade him.

It should be awesome to watch Starlin Castro at Leadoff and Jackson batting 2nd for years to come. Not sure if Josh Vitters will ever amount to a star. Now the real question is can the Cubs sign Albert Pujols or Prince Fielder to a big contract this offseason?

Well they are looking for a new GM. If someone in the Cubs organization goes to see Moneyball in a few weeks, then maybe they will realize that a GM that knows a teeny bit about baseball can help them actually win a few games. Maybe the Cubs new GM will realize an MVP caliber player like Pujols or Fielder will be a better addition than Carlos Pena's .220 average.
