Question Anybody open up 2010 Bowman Chrome Wrapper Redemption Packs?

Hey I was thinking of ordering some of these on blowout and wondering howmany packs should i go with? Like 50-60 and hope for the Harper Buyback. Anybody know the seeding for any auto's? Looks like all Auto's are #100 or less.

So how many packs did you open and how many auto's were there. Really like the auto lineup just missing strasburg why no auto of him??

Everyone I've ever talked to about those packs agrees, they were supposedly easily searchable for autos!! Be careful.

People were originally thinking between 1-12 packs or 1-15 packs for autos. There is this thread though were someone opened up 108 packs and got 0 autos. So definitely a risk even with a large quantity. Here is the thread.

108 bowman redemption packs

If you are buying them direct from blowout I highly doubt they are going to be searched...

If you are looking at buying them in packs of 10 from blowout and looking at buying 5-6 lots of them you are already 1/3 of the way to Harper. You are better off just buying the Harper. Will be a pretty tough pull.

That is the only way to do it now, buy from BO. I would not trust that any Ebay seller, did not weigh the packs.

Ebay purchase, not. If you received them from topps, then why not, go for it. I pulled a Gerrit Cole Black 23/25.

At the time the wrapper redemption was still going on you were better off buying a case of chrome and sending in the wrappers or just buying the wrappers off of sellers and sending them in. You might even better off just taking the $500-$600 and buying singles, I'm pretty sure at least 2 or 3 of the Red Sano Autos have been pulled as member Burke23 owned the 2 or 3 that had been pulled and still does.

I fell for it and bought 12 packs with my 2010 BC case b/c BO gave me a nice deal.

7 packs were the same shitty collation, exact cards, exact order.
5 were a different shitty collation, exact cards, exact order.

I emailed BO and they said contact Topps.

I wouldve had more fun lighting a $100 bill on fire.

Even the packs from Topps were searched. Stay away from these! Don't say that I didn't warn you.

All i know is i opened 46 packs, all sent in for in the last couple weeks, when i received them, not a single auto, just all base, was pretty mad to say the least.

I'll echo what everyone else is saying here, stay away. You can easily weigh the packs to search for the autographs. I wouldn't trust these from any source.

I redeemed a bunch of wrappers during the promotion. Autographs were showing up around 1 in 17 packs early on in the promotion. Towards the end, you couldn't pull an autograph. It was all base.

the odds on these varied so much. I have heard horror stories about people opening tons of packs without getting an auto. Myself, I have opened well over 100 packs and auto's for me landed roughly 1 every 12-15 packs.

Never pulled a black Auto /25 or a Harper but did get some nice ones like Mike Stanton, Gerrit Cole, Bubba Starling.

Buying from a place like BO is the best place to buy them. OP is correct in not buying any off of eBay.

I did buy 10 packs from BO early on when they first got their packs in, and I did hit a Bubba Starling auto. So I know they don't search the packs. The question now is, are the packs that BO currently has from the original shipment, or from near the end of the promotion (where it appeared all the packs were base, with no autos).

I redeemed about 20 packs worth of wrappers. It was all junk base. Never again. Stay away IMO.

I seem to remember Blowout offering those packs pretty early.

Damn it...I have 10 of these packs that I was planning to hold until the Harper hype blows up (maybe ST, maybe later) and sell them. Now it looks like with the "searching" factor, nobody is going to trust my packs. Damn you Topps~!

In case you needed another +1 on this, stay away. I bought two cases right around the end of the redemption, and topps sent me 5 packs as a consolation. I tried to weight them out - no difference. Opened them up - exact same shitty collation as mentioned above.
The only safe ones were the Topps Chrome redemption packs, because all the cards were chrome, thus far harder to search. The big money in those was the green refractor SP or the autos.

but, long story short, stay away. Spend the money on a case and hope for the best.
