2012 Topps Gold Rush Wrapper Redemption Deadline?

I just read on another board that the deadline for this promotion is going to be the end of February, less than a month after release. This came from a person who received their dealer kit from Topps.

Can anyone else confirm this? This would not be cool to only have a month to redeem wrappers.

No way, that has to mean 2013. Even Topps couldn't be THAT dumb....could they? Lol!

I would say that that isnt as bad as it sounds. Most of the sales for this stuff is in the first month. I also think it should be longer, but if anything, maybe until end of May, cause Series 2 comes out first week of June. This also allows them to most likely get everything together and ship everyones out faster (You would hope/think)

The wrapper redemption program will be for Jumbo and Hobby packs. Each full box of wrappers will equal 1 redemption pack.

Since the deadline is so close after release maybe there's smaller quantities of the gold rush packs, and therefore better odds at hitting something big!

Only packs included are hobby or jumbo HTA wrappers. You need either 50 hobby wrappers or 14 HTA Jumbo wrappers for one pack.

I wouldn't say necessarily that they're doing it cause of decreased quantity (They have to print out for however many get sent in) but rather to get the promotion over with so that they don't have to deal with it for a year. I bet you they are kicking themselves for putting June 2012 Expiration dates on the 2011 Diamond Giveaway Series 2 codes.

I thought I heard the it would take 50 hobby wrappers or 14 jumbo wrappers to get a redemption pack?
