AP initially reported that he lost, but Haudricourt (Brewers beat writer) insists he won.

Edit: AP said they made a typo, lol

Wait @haudricourt reports Braun won appeal. AP says he lost appeal.

Lots of information out there right now.

WOW - this could be interesting going forward:

darrenrovell darren rovell
MLB says it disagrees with Braun decision. Appears reports that Braun has won appeal are correct.

Who knows at this point.

Someone familiar with the decision said the appeal went Braun's way not so much on contesting the result of the test but the testing process itself, some kind of technicality. And it was arbitrator Shyam Das who decided to rule in favor on that technicality, making it a 2-1 decision by the three-man panel.

The people who don't want to believe won't ever believe. Haudricourt just said that he thinks this is Das's last appeal. Someone at the AP is getting a vacation.

I wonder if him winning the appeal has anything to do with the Selig Brewers relationship.

But he did cheat. He found a way to win the appeal based on the process. Not his results. Which he failed.

If Braun had to resort to questioning a technicality in the testing procedure as opposed to actually objecting to the results themselves; that is sad. I was taught where there is smoke, there is fire. He will always be guilty in my eyes!

Absolutely, because everything is a giant f*cking conspiracy. Seriously, don't you ever get tired of it? You hide because of black helicopters as well? You believe Obama is not really a US Citizen? Topps purposely inserting superfractors into value boxes. Come on man.

...and the haters start to come out of the woodwork, lol. Brauny is such a cocky SOB that he'll likely be fueled by those who still doubt him and will work to prove them wrong

COMPLETE....UTTER....BULLS**T!!!

No ONE is supposed to be above the rules, but because he's the MVP and because he's a good young player, I guess the rules don't apply to him.

MLB....I am disappointed!

Doesn't matter, if all guilt is looked at the same way meaning the substance was ingested intentionally or not then innocence should be the same way. Doesn't matter whether it was the process or result. He's been cleared. Just as if he had been found guilty & lost. Where was all the outrage when the results were leaked before he had his appeal? Oh well, haters gonna hate.

He's been cleared to play. He hasn't been cleared in the eyes of a lot of fans. He gets to play, fans get to doubt him. That's life.

You know, if it was a technicality that ultimately tipped the scale in his favor, I'm glad. The standards for guilt need to be within reason but high. If the MLB did not make their case within the bounds of the agreed upon terms, then they should not be able to win their argument. Of course, there will be books written about this, so who knows when we'll know or how much we'll know of the entire story.
