Topps announcement regarding Tribute to the Stars Autographed Cards

Today, Topps launched the highly anticipated 2012 Topps Tribute Baseball into the hobby.

Topps originally solicited that the TRIBUTE TO THE STARS AUTOGRAPH insert would appear in sealed boxes as an incremental hit. The card is inproduct, but was not delivered as an incremental hit.

Topps is encouraging collectors that opened a sealed box of 2012 Topps Tribute Baseball and received a TRIBUTE TO THE STARS AUTOGRAPHED CARD to send the card to Topps to receive a pack of 2011 Bowman Sterling Baseball (2 Autographs and 1 Relic).

Each card will be verified (via sequential numbering) and can only be submitted once. The card will be returned with the pack of Bowman Sterling..

This offer will expire March 9, 2013

Great idea. Any one under $40 would be worth it because that's the value of a sterling pack.

Yea they should settle down in a week or so. They'll probably settle around $60 but if you can pick one up around $40 it's good

Will have to do it within 2 weeks to not risk it, turn around should be about that before the used ones are back in peoples hands.

Nice of Topps to still do this though. Thats alot of man hours, postage and sterling packs for free.

I agree. Nice of them. They did advertise them as extra hits though.

Need to snatch the autos up in the next few weeks I think.

I got the Mike Schmidt #/9 that finished. Probably overpaid but I think it's a $70 card without the Sterling pack. Who knows what these will settle at though given the risk after a couple weeks that the card is recycled already.

so they are sending a $30-35 pack for yet another topps screw up
please note it will cost you around 4-5 bucks to ship to them
and the pack is going to contain mainly 2 99 cent autos and if lucky a 99 cent jersey

what about the matt kemp card, his is a redemption. Do you think topps will place a sticker on it once its redeemed or is there a chance it will come back on card?

Heres an idea, Redeem it then send the voucher in. When you get the redeemed card send that in as well
