Cliff Lee due back soon, still hovering at .500... I will feel pretty good if they can take the next 2 series from the Nats and Mets..... but that's a big IF

Anybody worried about Doc? I know the guy is human, but I worry about all the innings he's logged the last few years.

Not too worried, those games are bound to happen, just upset it was against the Braves ending that win streak. He still has the stuff. Once Lee gets back our SPs are sitting pretty, it's the bullpen hahaha.

Doc will be Doc. I'm not worried. Hamels looks like he is ready to get back to his 2008
form. Lee is better than most, what really excites me is that Vanimal is solid once again
and that Blanton looks great also, going past the 6th inning. If we can get the bats
going, and I don't doubt we can't, this might be the rest rotation in a long time! In the last three years we have stumbled once we have gotten to game 4 in the playoffs after running out of quality starters. That is not looking to be the case this year. Nats series will be huge. Ruiz should be starting for the NL team this year.

I have some degree of worry about Doc, just because if anything, this year has proved that nobody is invincible. But i'll give it more time before I'm truly worried.

Epic Match-up tonight:

Kyle Kendrick Vs. Stephen Strasburg

Gotta give a SLIGHT edge to the Nats, even though Kendrick is one of the most dominant pitchers in the league :x

I agree, they should trade everyone.

I don't know about everyone, but we do need to get younger and have a little more heart when playing they look like a bunch of broke down dog's .

Polanco and Wiggington need to hit the door. John Mayberry needs to somehow learn to hit the ball. I want to keep Juan Pierre though, he has performed well and been great on the base paths. I say call up Domonic Brown cause there is nothing to lose. If Victorino is traded I think I may get my wish.

I'm bumping this up to get opinions on the trades?

I'm not too sure what to think. I get that RAJ was trying to help both next year (Lindblom & Schierholz) and the farm, but I can't help but feel that the we got as much for Victorino as Pence.

Hated seeing Pence go just as a person not just his playing numbers. I'm wondering what RAJ is planing on doing with all of these OF we have (assuming Dom finially steps it up) as well as C (did somebody say one of the guys we have plays 1b too?). Seems like we're loading up the farm with young pitchers but we better start looking at some good replacement bats when Utly and JRoll can't make it anymore. I'm curious to see what more "in the know" phans think of the trades we made, but it seems we have some immediate return per today's lineup!

The thing that I am bummed about is what we gave up for Pence a year ago and then got no where near as much in return this year.

You got a good return on Victorino considering he's a free agent at the end of the year. Lindblom is a solid reliever and Martin should contribute at the ML-level in 2013.

Thought I would dig this beauty back up. Amaro needs to make a move soon because both Pagan and Upton are off of the market. What do you guys think he will do and when he will do it. I like the idea that we are possibly in the hunt for Josh Hamilton. I can only imagine some of the boppers he can hit out to right field at Citizens Bank Park.

Cody Ross is also a possibility

Some rumors have Victorino coming back, I think he is a good guy but I don't want him back

Also, thought I'd share..Brad Lidge retired this week. Was a huge part of the Phillies in 08.

Hmmm...thought Pagan might end up here.

Wonder if Darin Ruf will get a good look during spring training. Is he locked in at 1B or have they given him work elsewhere?

Any chance they are in talks with the Yankees for granderson? Saw on espn today he might be on the trading block. I think it would be a lot cheaper and a safer bet than Hamilton depending on what they have to give up though
