got so excited seeing a jumbo patch of JH and just put in a max bid. now im having doubts, like that red line no idea what that could be from. plus then some negative feedback about bogus autos from the seller...anyone have any input to ease my worries or make it worse?

i appreciate the comments on the patch looking legit and no im not backing out i just would hate to have bought a fake patch though that's why i'm asking for opinions. i was searching through hamiltons and saw this ending with about less than 2 minutes left and put in my max bid and without thoroughly examining the patch to an actual rangers jersey or checking the sellers feedback.

And we hate douchebag sellers (AND board members) who are more concerned about their problems than the problems with their buyers. Most people want to know if their patches / autographs are real, etc. As a seller of collectibles, you should expect auctions to be bid on within the final seconds, and because of this fact it is sometimes difficult to read entire auctions.

OP - card looks legitimate - there is no way to tell though because as stated, this set had incredible patches and it will seem legit to almost all knowledgeable collectors.

I hate to be a buzz kill but I did see a thread regarding this seller a few weeks ago. Forget what was the problem, I believe they were offering fake Adrian Peterson autographs or something. I remember the Engrish item description with the "My name is Rachel and it's a pleasure to serve you" BS... Fingers crossed, dude.

Ultimate collection had some nasty patches in it, and if you look at the other items this seller has sold he/she has sold a bunch of single color jersey cards so its not like they fake everything

The patch looks real to me. The grey border around the patch window looks to be in perfect condition. So if it is fake, the guy did a perfect job of inserting the fake patch in there without damaging the card. I guess the only way to tell is wait until it comes in and see for yourself.

My only guess as to the red line at the bottom is that it could be blood or maybe stitching, but I have never seen stitching in that area. Good luck. I hope it turns out in your favor.

The patch actually doesn't ring alarm bells to me too much, seems consistent with the similarly numbered ones in that set. But the feedback is a bit alarming, you're right (especially keeping it private.)
