Default Joba Chamberlain ???

OK...his non-#d Tristar base autos are going for $60 now on Ebay. Anyone willing to predict what his Bowman Chrome autos will fetch in a few weeks? I say the first few will clear $200. Huge upside on Bowman Chrome out of the gate if this is the case.

I read that he is pitching out of the bullpen in AAA. Perhaps that will make him the next Mariano? A good move by the Yankees, but bad for card investors.

He will just be there for now, bc they need bullpen help. He will end up in the rotation.

I agree that the first few will sell for $200 or more.
However, I think the cards will settle down in a week or two
to the $100 range if Joba's auto is not short printed.

If his autos are short printed, I see his cards in the $130 plus range
after prices settle.

The card has 3 things going for it. 1) It has a lesser release that is selling high. The Chrome release will always be higher by a decent margin. 2) He is smoking the minor leagues at a very young age. He could make the show this year. 3) He's a Yankee. The most devoted prospectors in the world. I could see the card selling, like previous listers have said, very high out the gate (maybe $200 for the first couple) then settling down. If he gets called up in September and has a couple of good outings it will go right back up again! God bless prospectors!

So can any veteran rippers guess what a Joba Orange, Blue or Gold might fetch?

I think the orange and maybe the gold could be a $1000 card. The first blue might sell for close to $500 but down around $300 after that. Jeb I will let you know after I sell one.

There are 2 auctions on Ebay right now for Tristar Prospects Plus Farm Hands Autos of Joba with a Buy-it-now of $29.99. You can clearly see several other auctions that are over that price with a long time left. Why do sellers insist on bringing the price of good/hot cards down below what people are buying them for? I just don't understand! The exact same card is already up to $42.56 with nearly 5 days left in another auction! What a moron that seller is. Unless of course, he knows something that I just cannot comprehend.

If he is such a moron, then why don't you buy them and resell them? There's easy money on eBay to be made by doing that.

Default I just sold 2 Tristar Jobas for $75 each...

I had two that were BIN for $75 and both were bought last night. I saw those same two and considered buying - but a feedback of 31 with a serious negative turned me away. I may be missing a good deal, but no worries.

Funny thing is...I even misspelled his name and didn't even notice it!

Love it. Get those BC busted and listed early to make $250 on your Joba autos. If these Tristar cards are $75 a Bowman Chrome auto will be through the roof.

This may explain the $29.99 Joba autos...

Because I won't purchase cards from a moron. Not worth the risk. I hope this Ebay thing for him is a hobby and not a part-time/full-time job, because he would have a lot to learn if so.

Bummer....Never again will I do 1 day auctions...mine ended at 48 bucks. On the flip side, hoping that Gordon Auto will bring a few more bucks.

This guy is way to good not to be in the rotation next year. Not much long term upside on middle relievers.
