i usually try to avoid buying boxes in hopes to get his rarer cards but since his autos are pushing $200 a piece i figured i would take a little gamble. The boxes only sell for $25.

I jumped on the Dickey bandwagon within the last few weeks when I read the Jeff Passan article on Yahoo! (best sports article of the year IMO) about Dickey. I like players with interesting/redemption stories- Hamilton, Greinke, etc. so Dickey's story resonated with me even though I haven't gone through some of the exact things he did. I also just attempted Kilimanjaro in June so I thought that was pretty cool as well. I hope he continues to do well.

The funny thing is I remember his '97 Bowman cards when I was 12. Those late '90s Bowman sets.... ahhhh. the gold old days.

As a fan mainly- I think the only card(s) I have are from 97 Bowman when I was a kid. I'd like to get more of his cards as I like his story but I think I'll wait for the buzz to die down some to save some money.

I would have been 11, the heyday of my collecting, before taking a hiatus because of the economy and school. Unfortunately these sets are still in Tulsa with my parents, I will have to give them a call.

Off Topic- do you own a '66 Stang? my dad went through his midlife crisis a few years back and bought himself one. It was his first car back in the day.

Haha I used to have one. It was my first car (im not old either, im 27 lol) i saved up my money and used the money that would go to my class ring and stuff like that to get it.

Sweet collection. I would not leave those autos out in light though. Those UD stickers fade easy.

Thanks for the info. That glass in the frame is UV protected as well as the holders they are in.
