Turns out that was either a red herring or a crazy coincidence...

(easily spent 40 hours on this)
On the back of the turning points in history cards there are 3 stars on either side of the title same as the newspaper on the back of the code cards... I think they did it on purpose to throw people off...

If you look on the back of the code promo card under the A from Allen & Ginter there is a 7 ... No other cards have that they have the normal design.

The "rabbit hole" URL was how you had to go? I thought that was just used to hide the true URL.

They really dialed it in this year, in my opinion. Honestly, someone could have spent 10 hours total on this and solved it...

I agree...Codemaster got us good this year! After all the heinous crap he put us through the last few years, he pulled a "gotcha" this year.

Jerk.

Anyway, I can now go back to picking up random $20 blasters and pull crap, trolling Ebay, and playing Call of Duty!

My 2 Cents....

1)Loved the premise and format
2)Did not like that you did not need a single card from the set(Maybe a legal thing now..no purchase necessary etc..)
3) Killed on the red herrings
RH-A) Spelling mistakes all over the place. I pulled out every wrong letter to try and spell something)
RH-B) Good Ole Lefty
RH-C) Number 17
4) Thought this tweet should have came weeks later as a hint :"You found them around town and yet all in the same place. Seems obvious to me where you should continue your chase" The now obviously meant that all the scraps had the same extension
5) Glad Crazy Paul didn't win, he's a condescending douche
6)Had fun with the people I worked with.. some nice and funny people
7) FK those three "..." I would have never got that, they messed me up

8)and finally my wife, dog, job, and new born baby are all glad to have my full attention

He mentions his dad died 16 years ago 2012-16=1996 19-9-6(the only breakout in order of that year that does not give you a number above 72)

Dude...what is your problem with me? Ive never once acted like I had this in the bag. I just was pissed people were freely giving info away.

No need for name calling, just shows how mature you are.

Can somebody tell me what nonsense is written in the fish scales on Lefty Kreh base card 346 ?? I spent a half hour of my life trying to decipher a fish.

Anyone else noticed on the military cards that Cyrus the great had no fern coming onto the card like the rest of them.

Also certain A&G back mini non sports cards have symbols where their profession should be.
(My partner noticed this)

Also my partner tried inputting "whipoutdick" to try and create a distraction at the bowling alley. LOL

Did anyone google March 31st??

Johann Sebastian Bach was born on that day

I linked that back to Johann Sabastian Bach's Musical Masters card....thinking that the notes on the bottom of the back of the card could be a password or something....spent like an hour and a half looking up images and researching musical scores. ARGH.

There were some days that I had spent so much time working on it and stringing random numbers, letters, and theorys together, that I started noticing things in real life and relating them to the code. I thought the fuzz between my toes last night might be evidence. Sorry to see it end, but glad its over. Congrats to the winners

Default congrats and thanks

Congrats to the winners.

Thanks to Topps for a fun excuse to stay up late and think.

Thanks to everyone posting here. It was a great to know other people were having the same setbacks/breaks, and I think it gave us all a good idea of where we should be in the process.

My lone question (that I can think of now), is what was the password for the GIVENS residence laptop?
