So, I figured I would bring this up in the forums because of the following it causes after the products release. I must admit, I do not enjoy the A & G product, but I have always loved the "crack the code" contest they do each year. I typically do not participate in trying to crack it, but instead choose to read about how someone figured it out once it happened; however, this year, I am going for it. Hahah.
So is anyone else trying it? Or even care? Lol |

I should have put trying in parentheses right?
Considering the fact that I do not plan on buying much of the product, I have a snowballs chance in hell; however I will try nonetheless. I am surprised though- With retail being live, I have not seen any 2012 crack the code cards or anything like that on ebay or anywhere else yet. Interesting |

It looks to be a Murder Mystery type of event this year.
Each of the "Characters" already have Twitter pages. https://twitter.com/WillowCovePD If you check who he follows...you will see the rest of the "Characters" And then there is this site: http://murderinwillowcove.com/ Looks kinda cool so far!!

I think the code cards are more common this year than last (1 per hobby case). so it might be easier? BrentAndBecca tweeted a picture of one clue card: Ginter code cards http://img.ly/kAbC - img.ly. May try to buy a scan from him of a complete set when he puts them on ebay later tonight.
things that I have noticed or have been going around: code clue twitter account? https://twitter.com/WillowCovePD code website: www.murderinwillowcove.com if you view the source code on the site the phrase "The source code won't help you. Follow the instructions and turn back now." is repeated 69 times in the comments. might refer to a card number? I will keep posting here as I find more.

I believe the code cards are used to assemble some sort of newspaper article, which talks about the death of one of the characters. If anyone has some scans of the newspaper article that we could piece together in the forum, I think everyone would appreciate it!

From what I understand garpike, those are not code cards, simply PROMO cards since one side says crack the code, while the other side has some random info about the mystery. The "code" cards have that case file info on one side, as well as part of a newspaper clipping on the other. The cards should all fit together to form the story of the murder, and I would assume that is where the mystery would begin. |

yeah, I am definitely looking forward to trying to crack this thing for the first time. I feel like it has a "clue-like" feel to it as well.
All I (think) know is that the guy who own's Guttman's Gutters (Lennie Guttman) seems to be the guy who was killed. There's 23094324832483248324832840932 more things to it, but hey, I know something |
