They put the BV there for you, but you set your own asking price

Thank you! I'm not as experienced as many of the other guys on here, but I figured I would contribute so people could learn from some of my successes and failures with COMC. Glad it was helpful!

You guys convinced me to sell some on there. Anyone know if the Sports Collector's Digest just needs to be printed and mailed in? Also, anyone know if it is good for an account I've just been buying on?

In my opinion COMC is a great idea and a great site that just doesn't have enough traffic. I put 500 cards on, a lot of real low end stuff and I hardly move anything unless I place an ad. Even then people just lowball the hell out of you. I've been doing much better on ebay though it is also a lot more work.

Yup - can't login. Can't even get to home page. It's 6:00 in the morning in Seattle. I'm sure they'll fix it when they wake up.

Looking for Andre Dawson Serial numbered cards that are his jersey number - either #8 or #10. So looking for cards like 8/8 or 08/99 or 10/250.

You have to remember though, eBay took some time as well to become very popular. It's going to take time and more advertising on their part to make people aware. We are on a sports card forum and there are people that still have no clue what COMC is so it's just going to take time to become a household name just like eBay has become. Hopefully for COMC's sake, they don't change their fee structure or how their site functions as it would probably be their demise.

When submitting your cards, you can request a certain percent off and they will set it at that such as 50% off. They also have a price editor that you can download to change your percent off.

I've been on the site for three years and have been very happy with their services.

I e-mailed and got a response regarding this before I sent in my cards. You just print out the coupon from the SCD site (print picture). If you have never submitted cards (mailed in cards for scanning/pricing) you are good to go. I have bought cards on COMC and resold them before, but never submitted my own. I sent in a batch of 25 with the 1 week service and a 4 week batch of 50. You can only apply the discount to one batch (I thought I could use it for both, but not the case) so make sure to use the whole $20 coupon on your batch.

Just printed out the coupon. I think I'll send about 250 cards for $35ish dollars, and see how it goes. I've got 1000s and 1000s of inserts, both baseball and football, so hopefully this works well, and I can send 100-200 cards in a month, and really build up a big inventory.

It would be nice to just let the money pile up, and somewhere down the road use the money to buy a case of something from blowout.

Thanks for all the info guys!
