Default Huge hit from A&G 12' Stan Musial RIP #1/10 Value un-ripped?

Going to unload and curious to the actual value (if anyone has any input)? Is the best option to toss on ebay BIN $999 OBO?

I saw someone who got the same card, but numbered 4/10. He ripped it and got a SP mini... Not that this impacts your decision lol

So I am not really sure why people pay so much for these rip cards. I would pay more for a #/99 card knowing that I am going to rip it and "maybe" getting a cool mini. I wouldn't rip that and as such its just a 1/10 regular card (Non auto/relic). Obviously not worth the same has a base, but I wouldn't pay more than $20. Just leaves me scratching my head. I would BIN/OBO it and see what the masses are willing to shovel over for it.

if you list it now you should get an offer of over 500 from one person.

BIN is the only way to go and don't take less than $499 for it.

Thanks for the advice...ended up taking $600 offer outside of eBay. Not too bad I suppose.

There are A&G collectors who put together whole Rip sets. The guy out there putting together a /10 rip set will pay more than you.

That's exactly what happened...guy who purchased puts the 1-100 RIP set together each year and leaves unripped. Pretty cool IMO.

600 was more than the Dimaggio. Congrats!

I know I sound like a broken record, but I can't get $700 for an Aaron buyback auto #'d to 5 but he gets $600 for a 1/10 non auto ripcard.

Something is so wrong right now...

What is wrong is you don't understand how Ginter works. Ginter collectors are hard core but there are only a couple that make RIP sets. So if indeed OP did sell for $600 I expect other Musials to go for less and settle around $300

Right now I can buy a 1969 Hand Aaron antographed and slabbed by PSA for $179..Why should someone pay you $500 more for yours?

Yours is also BIN/BO

Put if for auction and I bet it gets $600

When some millionaire with an enormous hard-on for Hammerin' Hank starts buying up low numbered Aaron's, i'm sure you'll get paid

I follow your logic and if it's strictly a Ginter thing, I'm on board. But some of the cards that go for $500-$1000 make me scratch my head.

Last year I pulled a Carlos Gonzaled Rip /10
1st one on Ebay sold for $600.
Mine was the 2nd and got under $200.

I was thrilled with it but still wish I had been the 1st.

Did you auction it or do BIN?

Tip for everyone: DO NOT auction the /10 rip cards. The high rollers don't even bid on those and they sell for junk. Someone tried to auction a Roy Halladay recently and got less than $200. List BIN/OBO and wait it out. Someone will hit it eventually.
