Default Yet another Rip Card thread! HOORAY!

So anyway, got a Mike Trout rip card numbered to 50.
I'm sure I'll end up ripping it.
I see so far they've sold between $180 and $250. Everyone think that's about the peak of it?
Thinking about just throwing it on ebay with a $400 BIN or BO.
What would you do?
Rip It?
Flip It?
Burn it?
Give it to a random stranger on some sort of sports cards message board?
Cram it up my nose (or other random body hole if you're so inclined)?
Just getting thoughts. Like I said I'm sure unless I get a good amount I'll probably just rip it and get something lame.
If you're wondering I'm not into it for money.
Thanks!

I'd sell it. Then with the money you got, you can buy more cards.

Thats one of the ones I would sell. Trout is way too hot right now. If you want to rip a rip card, sell the Trout, and buy a crappy one /99.

I'm in the same situation- I'm one of those creating rip card threads!- with my Teixeira /25. I've always wanted a rip card and I didn't even get one in the first of my two cases. I'm considering selling mine and I think I'd sell that Trout rip card. Sell that and go and buy a Carlos Santana /75. From the limited amount I've seen and heard the quality of what is inside the rip does not seem to correlate to the value of the outside card but I may be mistaken.

Mike Trout? Sell. There's one for $185.5 dvld with almost two days left, but it's capped by a BIN option for $250 dvld. Ripped one sold for $30. That risk really worth it?

Any rip card is a instasell situation to me... they just bring back to much money not to sell.

^^ I wouldn't say always. the SP rip minis are selling for around 50 early on...if you had a /99 rip card of an average player, it'd be a pretty low risk/high reward rip..

And it's not that hard guys. If it's a crappy player, rip it. If it's Mike Trout level, sell it. Not worth the risk.

You can do what I did...sell a 50% stake in it and then rip it.

Sell, now, then you can buy whatever you want. It's cool to have, it's cool for that split second. But, if you don't get something great you're going to be mad. Take half and buy another rip card and then get something you've always wanted but didn't want to 'waste' the cash on.

My Pineda /50 just finished on eBay. Sold for $87....lower than I expected, was thinking $100+....

Regardless of price, I don't think they are worth the risk, unless they are /25 or /10, but even then, no guarantee.

The player does effect the prices too, with him hurt that didn't help you at all...

Trout though should be a no brainer SELL SELL SELL

Agreed. Figured the being hurt thing wasn't going to help, but I also figured product still new/relatively low #/fanatic NY Yankee fans/etc would all go in my favor. Hey, I'm still happy....

I ripped a few last year. 3 were numbered to 25. 4 to 75 and 3 to 99.
Pulled all ext. minis. Though I got most of my money back selling those.
