Default Increase eBay Non-Paying bidders?

Last month I had to file four non-paying bidder cases. This Never happened to me before.

Your take?

I sell over 200 items a month.. yes there has been a spike. I am finding a lot of high BIN items are being hit, then not paid for.. it's probably an effort to artificially raise prices on certain items.

Sad, but that's what people do

Just had to file my first NPB this week (on a card that sold for $6). Guy paid instantly upon opening a case, but come on, stop bidding on stuff you can't afford. Ebay should make it mandatory to pay within 3 days or you get a strike. After 3 strikes you get the ban hammer.

My biggest fear in opening the NPB cases is the possibility of the buyer getting offended and leaving a negative. Luckily this hasn't happened to me in the 4 or 5 cases I have had to open in the past. Now that sellers can no longer leave negative feedback it seems like all power is going to the buyer

i've noticed it too. Guy buys a .99 card and then asked me if i have any other cards to go with it. so i look and he says he has them all and now he wants a refund. why even bid?!!?

Also a lot of new accounts are popping up. people bidding with 0,1,2,3 feedback. it scares me!
