I am living in Savannah for a bit and will attend a bunch of sand gnats games. Any good prospects here? I see Michael Fulmer is doing decent (a 2011 first round pick). Anyone else I should be looking out for? If anyone is looking for autos from the gnats or opposing South Atlantic League teams - let me know I am willing to hook it up.

But I heard that Frank Viola will only sign his 1983 Fleer card, where he is in full Beefcake pose with his Jewfro:

Whoa? Homie, calm down. I think Savannah is one of the coolest cities in the entire U.S., I would never say anything bad about it. I wish I could eat at Mrs. Wilkes' Boarding House every day for lunch and walk the cobblestone streets of downtown. I was just saying that having a "Sand Gnat" which is a tiny bug that swarms in the hundreds and attacks your eyeballs for their moisture is kind of a funny team name/mascot. I had no idea you were so proud of the Sand Gnats in the area you live in as if they were your very own personal Bald Eagle.
Also, I didn't realize that Vegas was such a "shithole" as you say. It's amazing to think that it is the #1 tourist destination on the entire planet Earth while maintaining its' worldly reknown reputation as a "shithole." Maybe they all come to see me for my wit and charm? |

Lol I edited that quickly - One I am over the limit. Savannah is a nice town - it does have it's ups and downs but overall it is a very a nice place. Obviously vegas is an amazing spot and can't wait till summer when I arrive. I have had wayyy to many drinks and that does not excuse my behavior. Sand gnats are annoying littler critters and I am obviously over protective at the moment. |

Grayson Stadium is a MUCH better stadium than it was just three or four years ago.. it shows its age but the new ownership group has done a good job upgrading things.
Unfortunately I don't get out to the games as much (I even scored a few games for them over summers past, strictly pinch-hitting duty) but would like to get back out there for a game or two this summer. Alex Panteliodis is a hot name simply because he went to UF, not sure what his pro prospect chances are. Brian Harrison is "local" (Hilton Head HS) who went to Furman and is doing OK. |
