I'm pretty sure last year trouts numbers were horrendous. Way to early for a bandwagon one way or the other.

Think Giants announcers mentioned he was 1-18, apparently in his last 18 at bats, coming into the game.

The problem with our hobby.... By: Me... lol

It kills me everytime I compare card value. People pay 5k 10k for harpers, lawries, hosmers, ect.. I just bought an Al Kaline 6/25 (that's his jersey number btw) auto for $60 bucks. To be honest, I overpaid for it a few bucks (probably worth 40)

How is it that a miguel cabrera 2000 topps traded rc auto bgs 9 sells for 600-800 and some "has not done crap in the bigs yet kids card sells for 5k?"

Anyhow, done with my rant.... Just doesnt make sense!

Yeah, I hear that a lot from people at shows etc. Just the way the hobby goes. It's what's hot and old timers with a gazillion autos get left in the dust.

But, I get a sense that Harper is bringing in a lot of new or past collectors with money to burn which is good for the hobby in a sense...

Naw, I disagree... When you place more value(money) on a guy expected to do more than guys that have done more I see a problem. Cause like any other gambling, the guys betting on the future lose more than they win.. When these people lose on their investments, they will leave the hobby. Just my opinion...
