Default Why Cabrera is better than Trout

Detroit Tigers: 4 Reasons Miguel Cabrera Is a Lock for MVP | Bleacher Report

yes its bleacher report but this will be an eye Opener to how good the guy really is, and considering his fielding % is 2nd among 3rd baseman, he will be the MVP

LOL at any article that sites RBI's as why someone is the best hitter in baseball. Also LOL at bleacher report which I'm sure writes things just to garner page views.

Edit: they use all the statistics that do not matter & do not actually measure any meaningful performance. Can't wait to see Trout win ROY & MVP.

Eh...Bleacher Report...there are a few good points, but this little gem right here?

This season, Cabrera is head-and-shoulders ahead of the competition.

No, no, no, no, NO, NO, NO, NO. He is at the top of the pack -- he is NOT a runaway favorite though.

Let me guess you think Trout or Mauer are the best hitters, Cabrera is top 5 in every offensive category

i totally agree with your point, it will be close but Cabrera should be the MVP

also note that Trout' Batting average is dropping each day

I'm not just looking at offensive categories. Wins Above Replacement (WAR) shows that Trout IS the best player in the AL and it's not disputable. You want a debate go elsewhere, WAR shows that there is no debate. It's Trout and it's end of discussion. It's now possible to measure offensive & defensive production & when you take them into account it's trout. Why would you base MVP on only offensive contributions, especially when offensive contributions are not equal around the board.

Come on man, you are really going to start this again? We all know you want Miggy to win the MVP. We do, WE ALL KNOW. The fact is, it's closer than what you want it to be, and Trout is ahead of Miguel in most important categories.

Just let it go. Enjoy the performance Trout is putting up, it really is quite remarkable.

Wins Above Replacement, Trout is at 7.0 & Cabrera is at 5.1, he's been worth almost 2 wins more to the Angels than Cabrera has been to the Tigers. End of discussion. Even Cano is ahead of Cabrera. Trout has a higher walk % at 9.3, Cabrera at 9.0, Trout has a higher OBP, higher Average, higher wOBA, higher wRC+, just look at the table I provided below. A ton of categories & ones that actually matter too!

Where did I say all? Don't put words in my mouth.

Second, it's right there for you. Nobody cares about homeruns or RBI's when it comes to the MVP vote. WAR is what they look at.

Hell, just hold all this stuff until the end of the year, and if he wins, post all your crap wherever you want. We don't need the same discussion EVERY SINGLE DAY.

WAR is the best argument anyone can make...and he's done it in 20 less games than Cabrera.

It's also the only one that matters, but go ahead keep spewing your non-sense and citing "bleacher report". You should also look at the chart and see all the categories that Trout is ahead of Cabrera in, but my guess is you don't want to. You only want to look at arguments that favor Cabrera which come from bleacher report.

So when Miguel Cabrera is 35 and half in the bag every game and is hitting over .300 with 20+ home runs you want him to retire?

What am I missing here?

+++++++++++1

trot is leading cabrera by 2 points

also everyone forgets that trout has 38 stolen bases

trout also leads cabrera in OBP and Base on ball %
