I read the whole thread and it seems like you and Swingman are tucked into Gio's jockstrap tighter than his nuts. People are allowed to have their own opinions. I can't wait until the Braves rock Gio tomorrow night on national TV.

You are such a homer. Guess what? Things are different today than they were yesterday. Is that hard for you to believe? Ask JA if Gio is in his Top 3 now and I bet he will say yes. That doesn't change his retrospective analysis at all.

Even if Dickey and Gonzalez finish the season with similar numbers (giving Dickey the advantage in IP and Gonzalez an advantage in wins), Dickey will win this award. I like both of these guys, but Dickey will win in a 2-man race.

If Kershaw is indeed out for the season, Cueto has certainly done enough damage to his resume to slide down past Gio. That said, I probably have Gio second with Cain, Hamels and Lohse giving chase. The award is Dickey's to lose now.

O boyyyy, Gio now 2nd on JA's list? Wow, you may just end up agreeing with my Cy Young pick when this is all said and done.

Would be interesting if Gio ended up winning (but he won't), which would of course he would only have a shot because Kershaw had to be shut down. Kershaw, who despite the injury, was still outperforming Gio.

Gio had his work cut out for him up until a few hours ago. Now, it looks like all it might take is a disastrous start by Dickey to send this race into a free-for-all.

I'm not counting out Cain, Hamels and Lohse. I still think Gio's resume could've really benefited from an extra 15 innings pitched at this point. He's got four starts left -- let's see him be economical with his pitch count and get a little distance!

And I maintain again that GIO GONZALEZ WILL NOT WIN THE 2012 CY YOUNG.

Take off your obviously rose-colored glasses, this is just a blatant example of a homer.

Not bad...my rotation core will consist of Mike Minor, Andy Pettitte, Chris Carpenter and whoever I choose to stream in on a daily basis. FML.

That's rough, I had a great draft. I'm winning by 250 in the semi finals

Credit the Braves...they're spoiling pitches and making him work.

And gio with control problems once again, definitely won't be going deep into this game

75 pitches in less than 3 innings!

Not very Cy Young-like to me! Yikes!

This Gio Gonzalez guy really sucks. I'm glad we got rid of him for that stud Freddy Garcia.

92 PC, 4 IP, 2 ER

That's Gio taking control on the main stage!

Wow just hit 100 pitches through 4 1/3 innings pitched. That's what I call economic pitching

It's not like he has been pitching poorly ... but he'll be lucky to finish the 6th inning.

And there you go ... Gonzalez finishes with 5 IP, 4 H, 4 BB, 2 R, 5 K ... and runners on second and third with no outs.

Not a horrible line when you think about what could've been. Those first three innings were brutal...and then he looked like a CYA candidate for the next two. Stammen really bailed him out in the 6th.

Just curious, where are the Gio nut-huggers at? They're so quick to post when another "Cy Young Candidate" blows up.......
