I read the whole thread and it seems like you and Swingman are tucked into Gio's jockstrap tighter than his nuts. People are allowed to have their own opinions. I can't wait until the Braves rock Gio tomorrow night on national TV.

You are such a homer. Guess what? Things are different today than they were yesterday. Is that hard for you to believe? Ask JA if Gio is in his Top 3 now and I bet he will say yes. That doesn't change his retrospective analysis at all.

Even if Dickey and Gonzalez finish the season with similar numbers (giving Dickey the advantage in IP and Gonzalez an advantage in wins), Dickey will win this award. I like both of these guys, but Dickey will win in a 2-man race.

Would be interesting if Gio ended up winning (but he won't), which would of course he would only have a shot because Kershaw had to be shut down. Kershaw, who despite the injury, was still outperforming Gio.

Gio had his work cut out for him up until a few hours ago. Now, it looks like all it might take is a disastrous start by Dickey to send this race into a free-for-all.

I'm not counting out Cain, Hamels and Lohse. I still think Gio's resume could've really benefited from an extra 15 innings pitched at this point. He's got four starts left -- let's see him be economical with his pitch count and get a little distance!

Not a horrible line when you think about what could've been. Those first three innings were brutal...and then he looked like a CYA candidate for the next two. Stammen really bailed him out in the 6th.
