No way Cain goes that lower, honestly I'd say he is top five

LMAO honestly, if Kimbrel places higher than Kimbrel, I'm gonna throw a hissy fit.

No kidding...it's probably the best move though, to be honest. The Nats are gonna be a TOUGH out in the playoffs if all the young guns are feeling fresh.

BTW, awesome pics! You should get some large prints made and have 'em signed (not that you really need them LOL).

I agree with Davey as well. There is no real point in pitching him again this season. Individual awards are nice but winning the whole thing would be more important.

It does suck for Gio that he cannot have one last chance to try and persuade voters; I think if Kershaw goes out tomorrow and throws 7+ scoreless innings, he really ought to win the Cy Young again.

Thanks for the comments on the pics! I have some videos too but don't know how to upload them here lol

Yea it does suck Gio won't get to pitch today. They haven't announced it yet but talking to Davey yesterday he said he would be a no go today for the simple fact that if they do not beat out the Reds they would be playing on Saturday and if Gio pitched today he would be going on 3 days rest which to open up the playoffs is obviously not a good idea. Its a bitter sweet feeling to be honest..

It's a bummer...although I bet that if you ask Gio, he'd rather be a world champ than Cy Young winner.

Gio's time will come. I would not at all be surprised to see him take home the CYA at least twice before the end of his career. The best thing for him is that he's on a legitimate contender that's only going to get better over time (that's a scary thought). I've noticed that Gio himself has been getting better every year of his career...there's still room to grow for him and I don't think it'll be long before he starts taking home the hardware.

That said...if his regular season is indeed over, there's no arguing that he's had a great year and he will get plenty of attention from voters. We'll see what the rest of the field can do over the next couple days.

Dickey giving up 3 runs in 6 innings to the Miami Marlins to end the season. At best gonna get a ND. Not the way you want to close out a season.

Gio goes 4-1 with a 1.74 ERA in September in pressure filled games with playoff implications. Not to mention his Complete Game shutout August 31st against the best hitting team in NL Cardinals. I don't knowwww guys, this is going to be closeeeeeeee

Dickey faced the Marlins 6 times this season I believe, that alone is enough of a weak schedule in itself.

A lineup that consists of Stanton, Reyes and (for half the season), Ramirez is very weak

Is this some kind of joke? Let's look at the teams Dickey has beaten since the All-star break.

Pirates Garbage
Marlins Garbage
Marlins Again Garbage
Astros Worst team of all time arguably
Diamondbacks No Playoffs, .500 team

The only two good teams he got wins against were Washington and St. Louis. He wasn't dominant in any of those wins either giving up 3 runs to Washginton and 2 runs to St. Louis in 6.2 innings.

Dickey will finish 1st in IP, 2nd in ERA and either 1st or 2nd in Ks.

Kershaw will finish 2nd in IP, 1st in ERA and either 1st or 2nd in Ks.

I just don't know anymore. I wonder if Kershaw even goes tomorrow if the Dodgers lose tonight.

Dickey Pitched the entire season with a torn abdominal muscle, thats pretty impressive.

New York Mets' R.A. Dickey pitched most of season with torn muscle in side - ESPN New York
