NL CY YOUNG
Who should it be? I personally think Dickey
|
Aroldis Chapman?
|
Dickey.......
|
As i made a thread before on this it will be:
Johnny Cueto or Aroldis Chapman. People thinking Dickey are waaayyyy off. Numbers arent close to Cueto |
Why not Johnny Cueto ? It's probably RA Dickey's to lose right now but I think Cueto would be my choice.

Should be Cuetos. Has better numbers and leading his team into playoffs. Aroldis Chapman is most dominant pitcher we have seen in years. |

Chapman is ridiculous this year BUT I don't like seeing modern day closers getting the Cy. I'd give it to a starter who dominates over a closer who dominates every time. |

if he was that dominant his era wouldn't be around a 1.40 and he wouldn't have any blown saves |
Cueto should be the clear favorite right now...although I'd love to see Jordan Zimmermann challenge him over the next month.
|
Cueto definetly will win this year. His numbers are just too good not to!
|
Chapman is incredible but I can't see a closer winning it unless they have a record breaking or some crazy season like 50 saves 0 era or somethin like that.
|
R.a dickey should get it. Would someone like to explain to me how cueto has better numbers than dickey?
|
Cueto's probably the favorite right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if Dickey won it.
|
Dickey doesn't have close numbers to cueto? Do your research before you talk.
Cueto: 2.44 ERA, 16-6, 135 K's dickey: 2.89 ERA, 15-4, 175 K's |
Id like to see Burnett finish strong and get some support. Cueto or Dickey as of now, of course these two would have to suck down the stretch also.
|

I would also like to see Cueto win the NL CY award.
|

It's close, I think their numbers are equal. Equal records, innings, games, walks. Cueto has a better ERA, HRs. Dickey has better hits, whip, baa, and strikeouts. |

Cueto.. Better ERA, More Wins, better WAR... Cueto is in a Pennant chase and winning games. Who knows this guy could be an MVP depending on the rest of the season. You just never know |

Ya got me there, didn't see that post.:o Next time quote the guy ya j*rkoff;) |
Not a bad article:
2012 NL Cy Young Belongs to the Cincinnati Reds, but Who Will Win It? | Bleacher Report As a Reds fan Im a tad biased. Dickey has had an amazing season dont get me wrong. We saw with his last start maybe his stats wouldnt be close to Cuetos pitching in GABP? |
I'd rather see Dickey win it
|
It's going to be close. I'd say it'll either be Cueto or Dickey, but Strasburg / Gio could challenge (maybe not Stas if he gets shut down).
And please, no one (else) make the unbelievably stupid argument about "leading his team to the playoffs." |
