I agree! A problem with some of these 90s inserts is that they don't scan well. In order to see the detail you just have to take a picture. I didn't realize that particular insert looked that good because I've only ever seen them scanned. It's a very nice looking card.

Here's a couple more 1998 Pinnacle Plus Team Pinnacle Mirror Gold cards:

For each player in the set, they had 3 different cards, each of which was two-side and showed an AL and NL player of the same position. They were the base, gold and mirror gold cards. The base (red) and gold cards each had two variants--one with the NL player in foil and one with the AL player in foil. The mirror gold, to the best of my knowledge and what I have seen from other collectors, only has one variant, and that means that the "front" of the card has a mirror finish (that is the side of the card without the Pinnacle trademark info). For a long time people speculated that AL players were the mirror finish but the Piazza card is a clear example that this isn't always the case.

I'm still looking for the gold version with I-Rod foil to complete that set.

this is one of my favorites...bigger than average card dimensions by a little. i keep it in a semi-rigid. made of metal and glass i think. they were redemption only for the top player in each position that year i believe?

Beautiful Piazza! Still looking to pick up the Bonds for my PC! BTW, I'm new here and this is the thread that lured me in. Grew up in this era and would take a nice, limited 90s insert over a game used piece any day. Thanks for all of your scans. I need to get some of my Bonds up here!

This is a great thread! Finally got around to scanning some of my 90's stuff. Being a big Jeter fan, I'll start off with some of them. Hopefully the scans work and aren't too big- will post more in the future.
