Best player you have played against - Baseball - Page 5

Never "played" against anybody. But I grew up in Plant City FL and my house was across the street from Mike Sansone park which is where the Texas Rangers spring training used to be. So I shagged balls and was a dugout/clubhouse gopher from the time I was 8 until 13. I have met and played with many greats messing around at training camp. But my favorite moment was when I hit a ball against Nolan Ryan. Note,,, I hit the ball, I did not get a hit lol. It only took me 17 or so pitches to do it. 8 that were not strikes but I swung, 8 that were strikes but had me on my butt or running (so embarassing) but I finally hit it and he quit. He knew I had zeroed in on him "NOT". He was not a Ranger at that time but was at the camp for a day goofing around with some of the Rangers. And that is my best player I ever played against.
