Default Anyone think 2012 Topps Mini will hit the $100 mark before it drys up.

They were $50 on topps web site. Now sold out. BO has them but they are $85 a box. On eBay they are drying up real fast. I think the base cards are going to move higher also. Trying to put the very few set together. What is there only less then 3,000 sets made. Not alot to go around.

I doubt it, but maybe wrong. I just don't see the HUGE demand for this stuff.

Can't speak on the eBay front, but I listed some silver/gold parallels on COMC about a week ago and they went very quickly.

it's roughly 2585 possible sets.that's taking into account minus the 5 gold per box.
It's probably a little less than that, you get a relic in every box.

Default #s I did on Minis

If there is only printing plates of base cards:
661 diff cards x 4 diff plates x 66 (odds)= 174504 (foil packs) / 24(packs per box) = 7271 boxes
Apprx- 7200 to 7300 boxes total
7271 / 24 (boxes per case) = 303 cases produced
Boxes = 24 packs x 10 cards per pack = 240 total cards per box
240 - approx 15 cards (golds, blacks, & golden moments) = 225 base cards per box.
225 x 3 = 675 base cards per 3 boxes. If 3 perfect boxes give you a set then:
7271 / 3 boxes = 2424 total base sets of minis produced.

Wow less then 2500 set. Not all sets will be put together. This will go up in price. Set builders must love this set with not many out there. Does anyone think they will come out with update to complete the whole set. Does anyone know if this is the lowest print run for this type of product.

Well I broke 9 boxes and was short one card for my first set and 30 cards for my 2nd.

They said they aren't going to release an update on their twitter a couple weeks ago.

I still have a base set, might keep it for a little and see if it rises in price.

A
Going by Golds:

661 Cards | 1:5 Packs | Numbered to 61

(661*61*5)/24 = 8400.21 Boxes

________________________________

Going by Blacks:

661 Cards | 1:53 Packs | Numbered to 5

(661*53*5)/24 = 7298.54 Boxes

_______________________________

Going by Plates:

661 Cards | 1:66 Packs | Four for Each Base Card

(661*66*4)/24 = 7271 Boxes

last one is the correct answer.

Will I see this go to 100 bucks a box.......Yes just like everything else that starts out at one price then goes up do to supply and demand. People seen what was in these and then seen what the prices of the individual cards went for on the bay, thus driving up the price per box. And as the set builders, build the limited sets from this product, the price drives up as well.

Again I can see this getting 100 a box

For all you COMC folks...has anyone tried selling the commons on there? I threw a few gold/silver up and they went very quickly...I'm wondering if I could send in all my base and sell them for a quarter or whatever.
