Default eTopps Substitution Prize Advice Please!

So I recently got fifth place overall in the eTopps Big League Challenge. I was suppose to get a Nolan Ryan Autograph Baseball which was valued at $199 by eTopps. I was very please with this prize especially with all my years of collecting I have never had a Ryan Autograph.

So without any email or notice, I receive my prize from FedEx today and see what looks to be a package of cards. To my surprise I open to find an autograph card of the "forever tainted comeback kid" Roger Clemens and a Chipper Jones Autograph card both uncirculated. Two guys that I really have no interest in.

The letter that came with the package said that they were unable to obtain the Nolan Ryan baseball and that they gave me a prize comparable in value. Now I know most Nolan Ryan baseballs probably are in the 50-100 range but I would of love to kept it for my collection. I looked on ebay for the two autograph cards I received and completed sales for the Jones was $50 and Clemens $30. These were not uncirculated like mine however.

What do you guys think? Should I keep the cards and try to sell them and buy something I want or contact eTopps for another substitution. Honestly I would have been fine with a Nolan Ryan autograph card but I guess that did not make sense to them to send that to me.

Anyway here are the scans:

The Jones is a nice addition to any collection, while the Clemens should be burned in the hot sun with a magnifying glass.

I haven't had any luck getting a fair replacement for a redemption I submitted, but you may. You could always sell the Clemens, keep the Jones, and call it a day.

If you're unhappy, call Topps and see about getting another replacement - what have you got to lose??

Yeah your right. However, I won a weekly prize from eTopps last year during the challenge and was suppose to be a case of Topps Gypsy Queen. Well after about 20 calls and emails and over 9 months of waiting I finally got two cases of Topps Allen and Ginter 2011. Again I win and they didn't have the original prize in stock. I was okay with the substitution but at least I had some say last time. It was a very long and dragged out process I kind of wanted to stay away from contacting them about something smaller this year hahaha.

Personally, I'd call and tell them that the Chipper auto is great but I can't stand the cheater, Roger Clemens. Hopefully they'd understand and give me another option. Then, since this is my fantasy, they'd tell me to keep Clemens and they'd still send me the other option. Congrats either way!

Topps customer service has recently been solid with my replacements. They've even sent extra auto/GU cards, just because of the inconvenience. But you never know...

If they don't help with replacing the Clemens and you decide to sell, please shoot me a PM.

I'm going to try and contact topps about the situation how they can accommodate me. I am very open to selling if I cannot get a replacement I would be interested in. If I can get enough money from the two cards to get a card I like I would be just as happy. Thanks guys.

So I just got in contact with Topps and they are going to give me a Minnie Minoso autograph ball and allow me to keep the cards. Not the best player but still pretty neat for the personal collection.

As for the Chipper and the Roger I am willing to take offers on both cards. These are uncirculated from Topps with the seal so in my opinion these are worth more than the raw prices. Both are up for $75 or BO so just PM me if interested.
