You should never wish someone would get hit. What if the ball hit him in the head instead, leading to a concussion?

I see nothing wrong with what Harper did, he knew he would have to stand in for another pitch, so why not send the message, Im not your little bitch boy that you can just peg when your tampon is wet.

things started when the coaches were yelling at each other. People yell #@#@#@#@ all the time, Bo Porter never should have left his box and this wouldnt have happened. Tempers flare but could have been avoided. This stuff happens in baseball all the time. Move on

Also let it be noted, Castillo threw at this thigh. That is the right way to throw at someone. Stay away from the head.

1) Cubs (Jamie Quirk) got made at Werth swinging 3-0 only up 5 runs in the 5th.
2) You can't say Porter was out of line by going to the Cubs dugout unless you know what Quirk said to him. Quirk was shouting at Porter specifically for "allowing" Werth to swing 3-0.
3) It's bush as hell to throw at Harper who had nothing to do with the scenario.
4) Cubs are mad because the Nats hit 15 HR's in 4 games and because they're terrible.

This was my takeaway from the game, Davey Johnson agrees. Maybe the Cubs should just get better players. Minus Castro, Rizzo, Soriano, and a couple pitchers they're basically fielding a AAA team.

Couldn't care less about Bryce Harper, but it's good to see the kid standing up for himself and talking a walk to the mound.

I never actually thought of it that way and if it's really the case, then Hollywood Hamels is smarter than I've given him credit for.

You are right, not one person outside the State of IL gives a crap about them. They dont draw crowds everywhere they go, and are not one of the most popular sports franchise in the country. Do they suck, yea 100% but dont make stupid statements.

But they still "CARE" enough to go see her. I understand that the Cubs suck. Doesnt take a Doctor to figure that out. Just pointing out that your statement was incorrect.

The Cubs are fielding a ton of AAA guys, it's called rebuilding. A lot of their games are ugly and they just had a few guys hit their boiling point. The 3-0 swing up 5 is one of those unwritten rules, but it differentiates from coach to coach. Davey's been coaching forever so in his mind he has a number of runs when you put a red light on stuff like that, and 5 is not enough to do that with him which is understandable. No reason to let off the gas only up 5, Cubs have some guys that can make that up real fast.
