Positive and ding DSR's on communication that's it. You were way too fast to get upset, you got the card in just over a week that's not bad at all.

EDIT: Heck don't even ding DSR's you contacted him two days straight without giving him a chance and opened a case. You look worse than he does IMO.

I feel that's ample time to read your emails and type a 3 second response, especially if you've been online listing more auctions during that time.

I think most people would side with me when I say a LOT longer than a couple days. Especially considering it had only been a week.

Ding shipping time. Took 8 mailing days (possibly 6 or 7 depending on time you paid and if it sat before getting a postmark) for him to put it in the mail.

Maybe this. And only because his handling time said faster. But at the same time I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. Yeah he was slow, yeah he could have responded faster, but at the end of the day the card came fairly fast especially by Ebay seller standards and all is well. I don't think you can justify a neutral or negative that's for sure.

I'd leave a positive and ding his DSRs a couple of stars. My policy is usually as long as it arrives within two weeks and in the conditioned described, then I leave positive feedback and use appropriate DSRs for the respective categories in which you thought his service was lacking.

The only caveat to that would be if I messaged the seller politely asking if he shipped the card yet and he responded in a rude or negative way. That's an automatic neutral/negative in my book for being completely unprofessional. I treat eBay like a business, and if people are going to sell on there, they need to do the same.

Have the confidence to leave the feedback you feel the seller deserves. I don't see why you need to provoke the response of the Blowout community to help you render your OWN decision.

FWIW, this is why communication is so important. A buyer will sit there and stew assuming the worst if they don't hear anything. Then, even if the card only gets there a few days late, they will have all that pent up anxiety.

I always use DC and let the buyer know when I actually drop the package at the post office. If anything on DC looks weird or if it isn't updated on time I send the buyer a message letting them know.

Possom, I'm sure if the guy had just sent you an update or two you'd have been fine, right?

Well if he hadn't responded after the case was opened, then I'd give him a neutral personally. If you closed the case after four days or whatever, then he had plenty of time to respond. That's just my opinion.
