He's a beast. He kind of reminds me of a young Paul Konerko. Both have amazing power. Stanton might be better when his career is over.

I really didn't want to trade my Topps Chrome Stanton auto, but I did anyway, and I had a bad feeling it would come back to bite me... If the Marlins improve, his stuff will get even higher.

I'm not going to get into it, but I'll say this- Konerko is not who I'd compare him to at all. Just look at their builds and you can see the difference..

Stanton is 22 years old and now has 90 career Home Runs... Should probably get at least 5 more this year so lets say 93-95 at the low before he turns 23 in November. Do you know how many home runs your "Young Paul Konerko" hit before his 23rd Birthday?.... Do you have any clue? Really? The answer is 7. Pauly K didn't reach 90 til between his 25th and 26th Birthdays. |

Haha, I was joking with the original comment. Stanton could probably get close to 600 Homeruns if he stays healthy. Stanton is a lot better than Konerko.

he could easily reach 95 before he is 23 which is incredible, and yes the marlins do have a lot of money now but with the shitty ownership i dont think theyll spend it, although id HATE to see it happen i think stanton will not be a marlin by the time he is 27. we have him locked uo for 2 more years then arbitartion, but i dont thnk well lock him up
but for the time being its un having a guy like him on your favorite team
