Default Best way to insure no Paypal/EBay claim is filed...

So I'm just wondering what some of you guys do as added protection when shipping an item to a "new" EBay buyer to protect your butt. I usually do the confirmation/insurance coverage on an item of $xx.xx. I was seeing if any of you go even further with signature confirmation or something else.

Item is under $200 and will ship within the U.S...just a new buyer with less than 5 feedback...just wanted to see if I cover myself well enough.

***I heard from my post office that even if you insure the item, you need to have original receipt for the item or the insurance doesn't even matter, anyone else hear that***

If you purchase the shipping through ebay and use your paypal funds it will automatically keep a receipt stored in your paypal records. I do believe you MUST have a receipt as the only time I did file an insurance claim they required a copy of it.

Also only ship to confirmed addresses, ect.

Do you print shipping through Ebay? THey have a different insurance (ShipCover I believe) that is fairly easy to deal with. The only necessary things you need is DC if under $250 (I do insurance as well, but only to protect myself from it getting lost in the mail). I generally message new buyers as well letting them know their item shipped.
